Alongside my novel writing, I also write short and flash fiction.

I’m currently working on a collection of short stories set in Middlesbrough, as part of a project funded by Arts Council England via their Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) grant. You can find out more about this on Instagram @WritingMiddlesbrough.

In 2023, my story Mrs McKinnon Retires on Friday, was a finalist in the Mslexia Short Story Competition. It appeared in issue 100 of the magazine and is included in an ebook. My story, Boxing Day Dip, came third in the 2024 Dinesh Allirajah Prize for Short Fiction, run by Comma Press. You can read it in the prize anthology.
